Forests that have existed for ages are now being threatened by deforestation. Tree after tree falls with reckless abandon as society grows, and the majority of individuals think little about it because of the 'out of sight, out of mind' mentality. The truth is that we are all affected by the loss of Earth's forests, not just Mother Nature. We would do well to keep this in mind, before we face the consequences of our actions in the future.

According to Oxford Dictionaries, deforestation is the act of cutting down and/or burning of trees in an area. In other words, deforestation is the mass felling of trees. [8]
Deforestation is a process done by many organizations for varying purposes in forests all around the globe. Among the many perpetrators of this destructive act are the numerous logging companies, legal or illegal, that exist today.
Aside from the obvious loss of one of Nature's treasures, deforestation can result in dire consequences for humanity, wildlife, and the environment if not handled with utmost care. And like with many other resource gathering exploits of man, this act is abused and overused.
